As an extension of Oklahoma State University, the Community Music School follows all policies and requirements set by the University. Given the continually changing landscape of the Covid pandemic, CMS strongly encourages all students, families, and faculty to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. CDC Guidelines
Given new evidence on the B.1.617.2 (Delta) variant, CDC has updated the guidance for fully vaccinated people. CDC recommends universal indoor masking for all teachers, staff, students, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status. Visit the CDC for the latest recommendations.

Quarantine if you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated. People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. However, fully vaccinated people should get tested 3-5 days after their exposure, even they don’t have symptoms and wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until their test result is negative.
Self-Screening
We encourage CMS students, families, and staff to perform self-screenings before attending classes or events on-campus. Below is a list of currently reported symptoms, but it is important to note this list does not include all possible symptoms. Refer to the CDC website or your healthcare provider for the most current information.
